MEANINGology®: the study and practice of Meaning in life, work, and society.


All participants start with the introductory MEANINGology® 101 course and then advance to any of the Level 200 courses. Space is limited. These courses regularly sell-out so register early. MEANINGology® 101: Introduction to Meaning

Description/Objectives:

Despite what is happening in your life and in the broader world, the search for meaning gives you a place to start. It is not about the search for the meaning of life that is important; rather, it is the search for meaning in your own life and work that is most important.


In this foundations course, you will be introduced to the basic MEANINGology® concepts, which will help you clarify and act from your own "Core of Meaning." You will be introduced to the behavioral science behind the study of meaning, a unique philosophy and formula for meaning, and practical tools and techniques to help you craft a new "Meaning Mindset." The goal is for you to feel more aware, inspired, engaged, resilient, healthy, and eager to reach your full potential in both your life and work. During the course, you will have time for discussion, reflection, and drafting your personal "MEANINGology® Plan," so that you can integrate deeper meaning into all aspects of your life and work. MEANINGOLOGY® 201: MEANING Centric work

Description/Objectives:

An increasing number of people are questioning the meaning of their work. They want to know that their work truly matters and that they are making a difference--to themselves, for others, and even for the larger community or society.


The MEANINGology® 201: Meaning Centric Work course focuses on finding meaning in and of your work. Building on your knowledge gained in the MEANINGology® 101 course, you will now be introduced to the MEANINGology® Work concepts and practices. During this course, you will have the opportunity to take and discuss the results from your personalized MEANINGology® Work Meaning Test. You will also have time for discussion, reflection, and drafting a personal "MEANINGology® Work Plan," specific to your own needs and workplace situation.


As a result of participating in this course, you will have better understanding of how to work with more joy and meaning, especially during times of increased stress and change, as well as how to leverage a new "Meaning Mindset" and skills to get better and more innovative results. Join us for a fun, insightful, and educational day and discover a new way of working!

MEANINGOLOGY® 202: MEANING CENTRIC "PUBLIC SERVICE/GOVERNMENT" WORK

The MEANINGology® 202 course is similar to the MEANINGology® 201 course but with a greater emphasis and focus on the unique challenges you face in your work within the public service/public administration sector. As the vast majority of participants in this course are from other public service groups and governmental organizations, the discussion may be more relevant to you as opposed to attending the MEANINGology® 201 course. (Your choice, of course, as we all know that we can learn from others no matter what their background and experience!)

Building on your knowledge gained in the MEANINGology® 101 course, you will now be introduced to the MEANINGology® Work concepts and practices as they apply to public/government service. During this course, you will have the opportunity to take and discuss the results from your personalized MEANINGology® Work Meaning Test. You will also have time for discussion, reflection, and drafting a personal "MEANINGology® Work Plan," specific to your own needs and workplace situation.


As a result of participating in this course, you will have a better understanding of how to work with more joy and meaning, especially during times of increased stress and change, as well as how to leverage a new "Meaning Mindset" and skills to get better and more innovative results. Description/Objectives:

More people are looking for new ways to bring joy and meaning into their lives and, as the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle espoused, to realize their full potential. In this unique MEANINGology® 205 course, you will build on the key MEANINGology® concepts introduced in the MEANINGology® 101 course. Discussion will center on understanding what is meaningful to you and the process of becoming who you are, beyond the roles you play. Insightful exercises, examples, and practical techniques will enhance your ability to live a Meaning Centric life. During this course, you will have the opportunity to take and discuss the results from your personalized MEANINGology® Life Meaning Test. You will also have time for discussion, reflection, and crafting your personal "MEANINGology® Life Plan," specific to your own needs and situation.


As a result of participating in this course, you will have a better understanding of how to live with more joy and meaning, especially during times of transition and when confronting formidable life challenges, such as job/career changes, retirement, health issues, divorce, death of a loved one, aging, relocation, etc.. You will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge of "self" in order to live in closer alignment with your core essence or true nature by developing and building upon a "Meaning Mindset."
